Too Attached???

Yesterday at Caleb's 2 Year check up the doctor suggested I put him in daycare to help with his attachment issues. While she's telling me this I was thinking don't we want are kids to be attached to us? O.K. I KNOW Caleb is very attached but I am SURE that he will go to school, serve a mission, date, get married, have children and I'm guessing that he'll probably do all these things without hanging on to me. He'll grow out of this stage and then move into the stage where he tells his daddy secrets (Ethan does this) that he doesn't want his mommy to know and he'll be embarrassed to give me a hug and kiss. These days will come and I will look back and miss the days when I couldn't leave the room without him yelling "I coming" or "I hold you." These days are so precious and I will cling to them as hard as he clings to me. So to you Caleb's doctor NO daycare for my sweet mommy's boy he'll grow up soon enough!

Missing Our Friends

Saturday Ethan asked if we could go to Truman's house he was sad(I was too because I want to go to Mel's house) when I explained for the hundreth time that Truman lives all the way accross the country and it would take a very long time to get there.

This morning Ethan said "Mom I think I know why Truman has a True in his name, it's because he always tells the truth."

We miss you guys!

Happy Birthday Caleb

We had fun celebrating Caleb's 2nd Birthday the kids hunted for bugs, had caterpillar races and ate lots of cake.

Caleb loved looking for the bugs we hid
He wouldn't try the caterpillar race but Ethan and Alex had a blast

I had a crazy week so my sister Leah helped out and baked the cakes all I had to do was decorate them

Caleb got a lot of great gifts

I can't believe that it's been two years already although it seems like he's always been here. He really is a sweet boy who knows what he wants and loves his family.

Magical Family

Last night we were on our way home from a night of working, shopping and visiting Nanny, when we realized that we are a MAGICAL family. When Eric would say the magic words "abrakadabra zingity zee Mary Poppins is just like me" the interior lights would come on inside the car. Ethan was so amazed, he was even more amazed when he found out that I had magical power too. When I would blow really hard the lights would go off! We laughed all the way as Ethan would say the magic words and the lights would go on then Caleb would blow as hard as he could and poof the lights would go out.
