Gratitude

I had a great experience today and want to share. Everyday I've been walking around this lake, I hurry to try to get my 4 miles in and get home to take a shower before I pick up Ethan from school. Most of the time I'm listen to my iPod and looking down just to make sure I don't step or roll the stroller in any goose poop, but not today I just closed my eyes for a moment to listen to the sounds of the birds chirping and feel the sun shinning on my face at that moment I was overwhelmed with gratitude for every thing my heavenly father has given me, the sun to shine on me, the chirping birds, water, the time to walk, the ability to walk, my family, my sleeping walking partner Caleb, the opportunity to be a wife and a mother, friends, wonderful moments in a difficult childhood, his love for ME, just everything. What a great walk I had today!

Progress

We have made more progress in the basement and I have the sore legs and back to prove it!

Old Man Mud

As most of you know we have been working to finish the basement and now with my father coming to stay in our playroom for two months there is an urgency to get it done fast(no offense Dad). Mark came over last night and was here until ten taping and mudding (putting joint compound over the tape)the walls. This morning before leaving for the activity day at church Caleb stepped in a wet blob of mud on the floor, we quickly cleaned his shoe but told Ethan not to touch his shoe. Later Ethan said to his primary teacher "Caleb has old man mud on his shoe" I laughed and asked him why he said it was old man mud he said "because it's the mud Mark and Daddy use."

Super Star

Each day in the month of May a child in Ethan's class got to be the Super Star for the day. They brought home a book of their classmates and the next day they got to be the Super Star they brought pictures of their family, a favorite book and a special guest. Ethan choose to bring the book I Love You Stinky Face and Nanny. Nanny read the book to his class and got to spend the day with Ethan in his classroom.

Nap Time

When I put the boys down for their afternoon nap I sing a song to them that I made up about our family Ethan LOVES IT!! Today I sang the song laid Caleb down and gave Ethan a kiss he had a huge smile on his face and said "mom I'm really glad we live in this house" my heart was all warm and fuzzy thinking he loves living in the woods as much as I did "because I don't want to be an animal, cuz animals are afraid of humans and I just want to be a human." Oh Well

The kids had fun today hanging out at home playing on the playscape and running in the sprinkler Caleb just watched but Karl and Ethan loved it!

Garden Party

We went to a Garden party at Ethan's school his class is learning about worms so they made this yummy dessert that Ethan couldn't get enough of (thanks Barbie for continuously filling his cup)
we planted flowers in pots the kids had painted,

So I'm watching the movie and the wife of Jashua Steed enters? Who is she I know I've seen her in another movie Charly? the first The Work and the Glory? I can't figure it out? Please help me this is going to drive me crazy!!!!!
